A QUESTION EVERYONE SHOULD ASK

image

“The world as we have created it
is a process of our thinking. It
cannot be changed without
changing our thinking.”
Albert Einstein

There are thousands and millions of questions that streams in and out of a man’s mind each day, every minute.

This way, we are easily distracted. And if it happens, it’s not necessarily our fault- but, it’s our fault when we don’t find a way to always get ourselves in check, to rethink, come back to the right thought.

Here’s a question to help with that; it as always been my compass, helping me achieve my goals.

Am I on the right track?

Are you?

According to Samuel Beckett, he said
If you don’t know where you are
currently standing, you’re dead.

I have sought for a calendar with the date of eternity

image

I have sought for a calendar with the date of eternity,

On my quest have I trodden on flamey grounds of regret,

Knowledge have crossed my path that I know the identity of the wind,

Though for you I search,

But of another did I find.

Drowning in Eclipse

I’d light up a candle of hope in the cave of my past and only hope that my shadows eradicate and my sinful plague of past beginning be erased.

I’d light up a candle of hope in the cave of my past and only hope that my shadows eradicate and my sinful plague of past beginning be erased.

I hope for gloomy days over so the luminating rays from the burning glob of sun, shines the grace of new day, a new being, upon me in my present stand.

And my stance now, fluttering with colourful flies like that from the fireflies.
I’d lost in the dome of crystal sphere, becoming a prisoner of freedom.

I hope my words never fade. Never. Not ever.

Dreams of Day and Night

Benign deny of the night as the moonlight shines upon your eyes,

Revealing your soul to mine;

Naked you are to me in the reflection of the star’s light,

Benign deny of the night as the moonlight shines upon your eyes,

Revealing your soul to mine;
Naked you are to me in the reflection of the star’s light,

I see your past- your present- and your future;
Your affection I feel;

As You take me to that world where all my heart desires become reality,

Though your love is sweet; but only for a moment.

FEAR AND FAITH

we die every day- and, not because of the science of the flesh described as getting older.
But because we hold up swords of fear, slashing our dreams with lazy attitudes. Having wings but too scared to fly;
afraid to leap off the cliff even with parachute at our backs.

bbbb

Let’s resonate your faith with your fears;
as it appears to the be your weapon in despair;
dragged out from your soul- like a sword from its sheath;
like the only content in your one bullet shell;
as you move your vision away from yourself, from your ability to something else;

For without fear, faith is extinct- for the correlation between this two is too strong, it’s like a bond, a bond amidst two twinned souls.
And the greatest fear, now, as become, the fear of one’s self,
No one can kill you more than you yourself- for we slaughter snippets of our souls as we procrastinate on our vision, our dreams.

we die every day- and, not because of the science of the flesh described as getting older.
But because we hold up swords of fear, slashing our dreams with lazy attitudes. Having wings but too scared to fly;
afraid to leap off the cliff even with parachute at our backs.

How then do we get to the sky? Soar among the birds in the cloud?
This battle within the silent chambers of our mind has to be won;
and the ultimate weapon for victory, is the AK47 of Faith.

Two Souls

Her lips quaked as she listened to what she mused as melodious tones to her heart, her eyes twinkled as stars in the sky of her framed face. He stretched forth his hands to hers, they were clammy. He could feel his palm warm up hers.

“The way you dart your sight at me, drains me of consciousness as I shy in discomfort. You intentionally do this to me- your lips crook East in a gentle smile. I fall at awe when I see you beaming at me; it’s hard to stay calm when you do.”

He knew exactly what she meant and how she felt. He responded

” You’re beautiful- those words I mumble when I gaze you. I’m sorry I do not curtain my sight away from you, I can’t seem to hide how I feel- by stare is how I know to show them.
And I smile because of my imagination, like playing scenes from a movie titled: You and I living happy. Those scenes play repeatedly like as the sun continue to hoist to the sky each day”

Her lips quaked as she listened to what she mused as melodious tones to her heart, her eyes twinkled as stars in the sky of her framed face. He stretched forth his hands to hers, they were clammy. He could feel his palm warm up hers.

Sound seized, they no long communicated in words but with stares as the space betwixt their face tightened and their lips….. locked.

LOST PIRATES

image

Sometimes, we’re like lost pirates in the middle of the sea without a map.

Without a plan, we feel safe crawling back in our retro come-about;

Only seeing the passage in our course, rather than the destination of our dreams;

We get distracted by the waves and rumblings of the cloud, taking a different route from which we need not.

Our focus becomes likes that of a dog at a game of fetch, at the vanity of pleasure;

Lost in lust of quick moments, branching for a quickie;

Rather than quickly rethinking the path to sail after a slight mistake;
We decide to take, take a break.

Until we remove our eye patches,
We just might never again be able to patch our current position to the crumbled map in our jacket pockets, where we’ve left it.

We are pirates, meant to live at the crust of adventure;

Always leaning in for the treasure;
So…. let’s venture in search of them.

Arrgh!

Nigeria Would Be A Better Place, Only If We Would…

Statistically, a minimum of 1.8 millions Nigerians enter into the labour force every year (results of 2015), with 30% of them with innovative ideas.

    Statistically, a minimum of 1.8 millions Nigerians  enters into the labour force every year (results of 2015), with 30% of them possessing innovative ideas.

    We have for years and years demanded and sort for platforms from the government for which we could be helped, to achieve our goals and bring our dreams to reality.
What if we have been acting in reverse and what we really should be doing is establishing platforms in the length of our ability, even as little as we can, to aid one another.

    Imagine a gushing herd of innovative ideas from at least 30% out of 1.8 million souls per year, rushing forth to the help of the government. And most idea drench as they don’t experience opportunities to be established; if we were to ask why that is, most people’s answers would be “the government is the fault, they are not helping youths with ideas at all,” maybe something similar to that- well, you might just be right, but permit me to say “you are wrong”.

    We are the government ourselves, isn’t it ‘Government of the people, BY THE PEOPLE, for the people’ anymore?
Why should those sited in those executive sits be the ones to provide those platforms, platforms to be accessible by series of innovative ideas? When we “the government” ourselves don’t help to promote our own fellow people with those ideas. Just maybe when that begins to happen, we’d someday find who would help with our own ideas and dreams.

    We should not forget that the way to lead, is to lead by example…. We can even be as leading examples to those old men in the executive positions,  showing them how things should be.
We all have this power to move the world, it only starts by moving someone else’s idea forward.

    We should start living as leaders that we are, and begin to impact our world, by first supporting this innovative idea: PROMOTING ANOTHER’S IDEA TODAY.
All for a better world, a better Africa, and most importantly; a better Nigeria.
